We’re proud to be partnered with a world-wide leader in the precision repair and overhaul of critical avionics, hydraulics and navigation components. For 60 years they have the level of expertise required to work on components for military, civilian, fire-fighting and other rescue aircraft from an international client base. They are adding a critical new addition to their team in a Quality Engineer. You will lead initiatives in overall Quality improvements and regulatory compliance procedures on a program level.
The Quality Assurance engineer will:
Develop, document and implement process controls, inspection standards, methods and techniques used to ensure product compliance within applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), and manufacturers’ recommendations.
Supervise Internal and external surveillance system, Nonconformance and Vendor control system, warranty, and precision equipment calibration. Travel as needed to visit repair stations, suppliers, and customers
Perform quality systems process analysis and implement improvements to make the quality system more efficient and effective.
Lead the root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions to reduce internal and external failure costs
Collect and present metrics on key process indicators relating to quality.
The Qualified Candidate will:
Carry a degree in or have equivalent working knowledge of Quality Engineering principles and practices.
Have previous experience leading quality assurance initiatives within a manufacturing or production environment; aerospace preferred.
Possess working knowledge of applicable aviation regulatory compliance procedures and documentation (AS9100, FAA, FAR, CFRs)
Have a command of applicable tools and technology with the ability to ensure requirement checks are accomplished with proper documentation
Bring ideas to the table for improvements, enhancements and department advancement
