Our client has grown from a single machine designed for material handling waste and recycling automation into a full product line and sales throughout the United States – they continue to grow and are adding to their team to stay ahead of demand. A critical component to continued success will be the addition of an individual who will provide front end account management to some of their larger customers. The Applications Engineer will work with clients to assess needs and obtain specifications for upcoming projects while interfacing with internal team members to build and install machinery at new material handling sites throughout the US.
The Applications Engineer will:
Provide front line support and customer service; defining project needs and specifications to both internal and external project partners
Ensure machinery installs are conducted with accuracy and client personnel are trained in the operation and maintenance
Define Operations/User manual improvements and adjustments to increase user efficiencies and reduce downtime
Coordinate with client construction teams to determine project timelines and deliverables
Lead troubleshooting initiatives and help define a service model to handle client needs for maintenance and repair
Be the point of contact for major accounts and manage client expectations throughout the lifecycle of projects; cradle to grave
The Qualified Candidates will:
Carry a degree in or have significant working knowledge of Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
Understand PLC controls with the ability to both define needs and provide service and support (knowledge of Allen Bradley and Rockwall preferred)
Be well versed in CAD software with the ability to manipulate and make adjustments where needed to current designs (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
Have a background in account management and the ability to provide exceptional customer service
Show a proven record of providing insights to improve process and project implementation
